Description
Summary:Objective:To explore the effect of digital OT cognitive training on attention and activities of daily living of stroke patients with decreased attention.Methods:50 patients with post-stroke attention dysfunction were randomly assigned to the observation group (n=24) and control group (n=26). The observation group received digital OT cognitive training, and the control group was given general cognitive training for eight weeks, each time for 20 minutes, once a day and six times each week. Montreal cognitive assessment (MoCA), simple reaction time and letter deletion test were used to evaluate the attention ability of patients before and after treatment, Barthel index was used to evaluate the activities of daily living. Results:After eight weeks training, MoCA attention score and Barthel index score in both groups were significantly increased than those before the treatment (P<0.05), simple reaction time was significantly shorter than that before the treatment (P<0.05), the numbers of missed letters and wrong letters, and the completion time were significantly lower than those before the treatment (P<0.05). There were significant differences between two groups in the above indicators after treatment (P<0.05).Conclusion:Digital OT cognitive training can effectively improve the attention and self-care ability of stroke patients with decreased attention, and its curative effect is better than that of general cognitive training. Digital OT cognitive training is worthy of clinical spreading application.
