Summary:This research aimed to determine the effect of a magnetic board as an accompaniment to online Mandarin learning and for learning motivation. A one-equivalent control group research model was used. The control and experimental groups of five preschoolers and five accompanying parents participated in this research. Data were collected using observation and interviews conducted for one month. The magnetic board media increased student motivation with an increase of 81.42%. The role of companions was essential in implementing online learning with physical learning media.
