Description
Summary:This article looks at cannabis production and trafficking throughout the Caribbean region. The analysis highlights production sites ranking and the emergence of commercial roads towards regional and international markets. Cannabis trafficking operations are currently getting more complex following skyrocketing benefits. Once a drug produced and sold by marginalized and isolated farmers to face economic pressures linked to neoliberal politics, cannabis is today integrated into complex networks under the supervision of Jamaican gangs and perhaps Mexican cartels.
