description The genus Campylomyza Meigen, 1818, belongs to the subfamily Micromyinae (Diptera, Cecidomyiidae). The genus, comprising 40 species, is best known in the Palearctic Region. To date, four species are recorded in Korea: Campylomyza appendiculata, C. flavipes, C. furva, and C. spinata. Based on our field investigations from 2017 to 2020, five species are newly recorded from Korea (C. abjecta, C. aborigena, C. cornuta, C. cavitata, and C. cingulata) and seven new species are described (C. ambulata sp. nov., C. angusta sp. nov., C. convexa sp. nov., C. cornigera sp. nov., C. hori sp. nov., C. odae sp. nov., and C. salicia sp. nov.), based on morphological identification and molecular analyses. Detailed morphological and molecular data, including mitochondrial COI sequences are provided, with species diagnosis, descriptions, and keys for identification of those species.
