Description
Summary:This article is a theoretical review that aims to contextualise the educational reality considering the regulatory framework, the school, and teacher training in Chile for inclusion in the subject of physical education and health. This contextualization proposal will allow reflection on the inherent pedagogical task of the physical education teacher in Chile. It is important to point out that international agreements, laws, decrees, and normative pedagogy documents, as well as those of physical education, allow establishing coexistence agreements in the same reality. The acquisition and strengthening of skills, competencies, and capacities by the students at school must be transferred to the activities of daily life, which are expected to be guided by a physical education professional. Beyond establishing the limits of the pedagogical paradigms, reflection is invited, without forgetting the starting point and the adaptations that must be developed to respond to the needs of society.
