description The political participation of Latin American women, as occurred with female protagonism in other areas of society, also went through a process of erasure. This article rescues and compares the trajectories of the feminist and female movements in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, which became active and decisive political actors during the redemocratization process. The work also seeks to understand the relationship between the invisibility of women's political action during military governments in these countries and gender coloniality, based on the contributions of decolonial and African feminisms.
