Description
Summary:Environmental Education for Sustainable Development (EESD) makes us to take into account the systemic perspective, the complex thinking, globalization, interculturality and the principles of sustainable development. This is the perspective followed in this study, going further than naming and specific characteristics. The instructional model proposed shows the applicability of EEDS to solve real and precise problems from the environment that affect the whole Mankind, saving the distance between theory and practice. We use as an example the performing of an environmental audit in the faculty of Educational Sciences in the University of A Coruña (Spain), an audit that was developed by the students and the professors in Environmental Education.
