| description | Regarding public private partnerships (PPP), Machida(2022) demonstrates
how organizations change to establish the practice of implementing public private
partnership projects in the public organizations procuring the projects. Contrastingly, the
existing literature has not explored the formulation process of the contributing factor of
the implementation of public private partnership projects from the private sector’s
perspective. Meanwhile, in Japan, revitalizing the local economy by implementing public
private partnership projects is discussed as a crucial issue. To this end, it is among the
effective options to formulate networks of SMEs in a local community since the bidding
consortium must consist of various industry categories such as design, construction, and
operating.
Therefore, this article aims to explore the process of formulating networks of small and
medium enterprises in a local community and the consequent results regarding public
private partnership projects through the case study of a PPP platform in F City. This article
is expected to contribute to exploring the formulation process of the contributing factor
of the implementation of public private partnership projects from the private sector’s
perspective. |
