Description
Summary:The greater Paris competition gathered on the specific issue of the sustainable city, a great part of the architecture and town planning field, supported by research centres in social and hard science. This competition was the very place of a renewal in terms of representation concerning nature and the city. Among those new representations, the will to increase the presence of natural elements and processes in order to regulate and structure urban space has been very strong, hence constituting a kind of ‘super nature”. The article is describing how this super nature operates and how it differs with classical urban theories.
