This article deals with the collection of terracotta figurines of the Athens National Archaeological Museum, its formation at the end of the 19th century and its enrichment thereafter. Moreover, it presents the archaeological and museographical criteria used for the permanent exhibition in 2009 of about 500 terracotta figurines, and the subsequent creation of a chronological and geographical, but also thematic display. |
