Investigation of nuclear structure for 142/54 Xe 88 isotope using interacting boson model

The interacting boson model (IBM-1) is appropriate for describing nuclear levels of positive parity of even–even nuclei only. IBM-1 was used to calculate energy ratios, energy levels, and energy transitions for 142/54 Xe 88 isotope that belongs to mixed dynamical symmetry O(6)-U(5). Through IBM-1 we...

Description
Summary:The interacting boson model (IBM-1) is appropriate for describing nuclear levels of positive parity of even–even nuclei only. IBM-1 was used to calculate energy ratios, energy levels, and energy transitions for 142/54 Xe 88 isotope that belongs to mixed dynamical symmetry O(6)-U(5). Through IBM-1 we find that the number of energy levels decreases with decreases in the bosons number, for 142/54 Xe 88 isotope (N = 5), so the energy levels did not exceed (L = 10). The energy levels were calculated for 142/54 Xe 88 isotope, and most of their values were in good agreement with the experimental data, the spin, and the parity of some of the energy levels of the ground state band (which were unconfirmed experimentally) was confirmed and represented by (4+1, 6+1, 8+1, 10+1) levels. Some energy levels were predicted, represented by (0+2, 2+2, 4+2, 6+2) levels, in addition to predicting energy transitions for many other levels.
