description In this interview that explores the dynamics of intertwinement, co-production, unwinding, and resistance, that are at the origin, and are the foundation for gay and lesbian studies; Jean Allouch traces the development of his personal intellect, as well as the acceptance of his own type of analysis, which he defines as “spychanalytic”. Here, the theoretical basis of psychoanalytical knowledge and of queer knowledge are scrutinized to clearly show the unexpected and forgotten fertility of the pioneers (Freud, Lacan). This in turn serves the purpose of underlining the difficulty of juxtaposing two fields of knowledge that are said or wished to be intrinsically incompatible. An emphasis is made on the fundamental contributions of certain authors Allouch published at EPEL in "The Great Classics of Modern Erotology", as director of the collection. In this interview he also discusses the essential role played by Michel Foucault in developing a theoretical for the reconfiguration of psychoanalysis and sexuality that contests the moral stipulations laid down by a considerable number of practitioners and theorists of "psy" analysis.
