| Summary: | The reliability and economic efficiency of power supply systems for isolated areas depends on the choice of sources and methods of generating electricity. The article explores the topical issue of autonomous microgrid systems design based on renewable energy sources. The authors identify the main components of the process of solving optimization problems for the choice of the microgrid equipment composition and provide an analysis of common methods for solving these problems. Simplified algorithms are proposed for estimating the amount ofproduced and accumulated electricity in systems based on wind power plants. On the example of an autonomous microgrid system for the northern territories, a methodologyfor optimizing the composition of hybrid wind-diesel installations with energy storage is considered. |
