| description | Objective To investigate the effect of Yao medicine collapse stains combined with wax therapy in the treatment of chronic lumbar muscle strain. Methods A total of 138 patients with chronic lumbar muscle strain were selected as the study objects and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 69 cases in each group. The control group received routine treatment, rehabilitation and nursing interventions. On this basis, the observation group was treated with wax therapy on the basis of routine treatment. The clinical efficacy, the degree of lumbar pain and the quality of life of the two groups were compared. Results The overall effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (84. 41% vs. 72. 46%, P＜0. 05). The score of Visual Analogue Scale on pain decreased in both two groups after intervention, and was lower in the observation group than that in thecontrolgroup (P＜0. 01). The score of Short Form Quality of Life Questionnaire (SF-36)increased in both two groups after intervention, and was higher in the observation group than that in the control group (P＜0. 01). Conclusion Yao medicine collapse stains combined with wax therapy may improve the therapeutic effect of chronic lumbar muscle strain, relieve waist pain and improve the quality of life of patients.
