Summary: | Objectives
The purpose of this article is to analyse legal regulations defining the status of the Prime Minister in the sphere of both internal security and external security of the state, and also to characterise and systematise the Chairperson’s tasks and competences which concern preventing and combating threats, as well as mitigating their consequences.
Material and methods
The underlying research method employed in the article was the dogmatic legal method. Its aim was to analyse the binding legal regulations that govern the issues concerning the competences of the Prime Minister in the sphere of security, in terms of the Chairperson’s status as a government administration body. Another method used in the research was the theoretical legal method. It allowed assessing the measures which the government administration body in question can take with the state security in mind.
Results
The status of the Prime Minister in the sphere of security has been regulated by the legislator, who grants him managerial competences in this area.
Conclusions
It should be stated that he holds a high position in the state security system. |
