| description | Objective To understand community-dwelling residents' cognitive level of knowledge about Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), and to observe the influence of "Smart Doctor" system on the cognition level of community-dwelling residents. Methods To select residents form a certain community in Beijing as the object of investigation, using a self-made questionnaire to conduct a survey. Results The results showed that the residents had a relatively high level of cognition of TCM nursing, especially the knowledge related to decoction. The community residents' cognition level of “knowledge about moxibustion" was relatively insufficient (rate of incomprehension was 54. 55%). The cognitive level of residents using “Smart Doctor " system which provided by family doctors was significantly higher than that of non-users P<0. 01), and the cognitive level of " knowledge about moxibustion " was significantly higher than that of non-users (P<0. 01). Conclusion The use of the " Smart Doctor" system to carry out targeted publicity and education of TCM nursing knowledge is helpful to improve the cognitive level of community residents.
