| Summary: | Aim: The aim of the study is to determine factors related to stress in nursing faculty and health school students.
Method: The participants of the descriptive and cross-sectional study consist of 259 students enrolled in the nursing faculty and health school in a public university. In the study, a personal information form, Perceived Stress Scale, and Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale were utilized. The data of the study were evaluated by correlation, independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance.
Results: In the study, it was determined that students who smoke, those with poor physical and mental health perceptions, and those who use their phones for long periods of time on a daily basis experience higher levels of stress. In the research, it was determined that there are no significant relationships between stress and social support, as well as the sub-dimensions of social support.
Conclusion: The stress levels are high in students who smoke and those with a negative health perception. In the study, it was determined that social support and its sub-dimensions did not have a buffering effect on stress. |
