description Owing to the conventional water cooling system using dry cooler cannot meet the converter cooling requirements of the actual engineering in high temperature and drought region, a high temperature type water cooling system cooled by dry cooler and water chiller was presented and its experimental platform was constructed. Testing results show that the water cooling system not only can solve the converter cooling problem at high ambient temperature, but also has advantages of energy conservation, environmental protection and water saving.
