Description
Summary:This study takes a 6.45 MW offshore wind turbine structure as an example and uses the similitude analysis method to establish a reduced-scale model, which is compared with the reduced-scale finite element model and the full-scale model’s dynamic characteristics to verify the similarity relationship of the structure. By comparing the vibration response before and after applying the multiple tuned mass dampers (MTMDs) vibration control scheme, the effectiveness of the vibration control scheme is verified. The research results show that the MTMD device has a significant effect on controlling the first and second-order modal vibration responses of the wind turbine structure, with a vibration control rate of over 60%.
