How have Ontario Public Health units engaged with faith-based organizations to build confidence in COVID-19 vaccines among ethno-racial communities.
Published 2024-01-01“…First, PHUs created internal frameworks for dialogue to use available data to better understand the diverse needs of these equity-seeking groups. The second phase involved a three-stage engagement process:1) Consultation and information sharing was employed to facilitate early and open dialogue. 2) Work with FBOs and interested communities to plan vaccine deployment strategies to meet the needs of different faith and ethno-racial groups, and jointly plan the implementation of vaccination clinics. 3) Share roles and responsibilities with FBOs to roll out vaccine confidence strategies. …”

To the problem of optimization of criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of providing the national security of the State
Published 2022-03-01“…It has been argued that the evaluation of the effectiveness of Ukrainian national security is the activities of authorized entities carried out in the prescribed manner, which aims to establish the extent to which measures implemented by the state in the relevant direction, as well as related financial, material technical and human costs, meet the goal. It has been performed the classification of the relevant criteria, which is most appropriate to divide into the following groups: 1) financial and economic, which include: the level of shadowing of the economy; the level of GDP per capita; the ratio of public debt to GDP; the average level of wages in the state; 2) socio-cultural, in particular: the demographic situation in the country (depopulation rate); the level of legal consciousness of society and cultural development; national consent and unity; a sense of personal security; the level of support of the population of the state; 3) political: stability and effectiveness of public policy (domestic political stability); resilience to ensure a high level of readiness of society and the state to respond to a wide range of threats; the level of democracy, the formation and effectiveness of the legal framework of the rule of law; 4) indicators of combat readiness of the army: the state of the armed forces, their combat capability and combat readiness; logistical, financial support of troops; adequacy of staffing. …”

A Refined Short-term Scheduling Method Considering the Difference of Peak-shaving Performance of Hydropower Stations
Published 2024-01-01“…The scale of regulated hydropower in the power grid and the demand for refined dispatch continue to expand. How to carry out refined peak-shaving considering the differences in the regulatory performance of different power stations, which makes thermal power run smoothly and reduces the depth of participation in peak shaving,is the key problem to be solved in short-term hydropower dispatch of the power grid.To deal with the refined short-term scheduling of some provincial power grids, this paper proposes a peak-shaving optimization model of hydropower station groups considering peak-shaving performance differences. The model makes the short-term scheduling plan more accurate and reasonable and can better use hydropower regulation capacity.According to the different regulatory performance of the hydropower stations under the power grid, the paper conducts differentiated constraint processing to the weak peak-load station, the peak-load station, and the balanced power station. In addition, the successive associated search method is applied to solve the differentiated peak load optimization model.A total of 37 hydropower stations in Guangxi power grid are selected for the case study. The results show that compared with the traditional model, the differential peak-shaving optimization model takes into account the difference in regulation performance of different hydropower stations. It further reduces the peak-valley difference of the residual load of the system, smooths the fluctuation of the residual load of the system, and levels the small and frequent fluctuations of the system load, which is a fine scheduling method to meet the actual engineering requirements.…”
