Study of equivalent point-to-point transmission model for coded relay cooperations by Qiu-xia ZHANG, Feng-fan YANG, Shun-wai ZHANG, Lin LUO

    Published 2012-12-01
“…LDPC-coded relay cooperation and its joint iterative decoding based on the bi-layer Tanner graph were investigated. The coded relay cooperation becomed an equivalent and relatively simple point-to-point transmission model by introducing the notation of average arithmetic/geometr SNR for the receiver in the destination, which could be employed to perform the further study on more complex coded relay cooperations. Both LDPC-coded relay cooperation and its equivalent point-to-point model have almost the same performance by theoretical analysis and ical simulation, which proves the validity of the introduced equivalent model and the joint iterative decoding based on bi-layer Tanner graph.…”

Artificial noise aided secure beamforming for multi-antenna relay systems by Li-jian ZHANG, Liang JIN, Lu LIU, Wen-yu LUO

    Published 2014-11-01
“…In the amplify-and-forward (AF) relay systems, the confidential information forwarded by the relay can be intercepted by the eavesdroppers. For guaranteeing the secure communications,an artificial noise aided secure beamforming method is proposed. The goal is to maximize the secrecy rate of the system by jointly designing the beamforming matrix and the artificial noise (AN) covariance matrix at the relay subject to the total power and the per-antenna power constraints. This non-convex secrecy rate maximization (SRM) problem can be recast as a two-level optimization problem. The outer part can be solved by performing a one-dimensional search, and the inner part can be handled by the semidefinite relaxation (SDR) technique and interior-point methods. It is shown that there always exists a rank-one optimal solution for the SDR problem,i.e.…”

Buffer-aided multiple-antenna relay strategy for 5G systems by Jun ZHAN, Qifa YAN, Xiaohu TANG

    Published 2017-06-01
“…Buffer-aided multiple-antenna relay technology can provide the 5G communication system with wide coverage, and improve the system throughput performance effectively.A three-node multiple-antenna buffer-aided relay system was investigated and thus an optimal buffer-aided relay strategy, namely joint adaptive link selection and power allocation protocol, which maximizes the average throughput of system was proposed. The analytical results indicate that the optimal link selection policy depends only on the current instantaneous channel state information and the statistical channel information of related links, and the optimal power allocation scheme has equal power allocation for the transmitted data flows. The simulation results show that buffer used in relay could significantly improve the throughput of relay system compared to the relay system without buffer. In addition, the MIMO technique can achieve the multiplexing gain by multiple antennas, and then improve the throughput of buffer-aided relay system further.…”

Detection for physical-layer network coding in two-way relay channels by Wei YAN, Yue-ming CAI, Cheng-kang PAN

    Published 2012-02-01
“…The detection for physical-layer network coding (PNC) in two-way relay channels was investigated.Maximum-likelihood (ML) detection not only had great performance but also had high computational complexity. Therefore, without channel state information (CSI) at source nodes, two detection schemes were proposed. The first scheme was likelihood ratio(LR)detection based on LR function, and the other was maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) detection based on MAP rule.Meanwhile,It carried out similar analysis if CSI was available at source nodes.Compared to ML detection which separately detects two source messages, numerical and simulation results show that LR detection outperforms it in terms of BER metric with the requirement for additional noise variance information. And MAP detection is equivalent to ML detection, and it has lower computational complexity.…”
