Spatial channel modeling for MIMO underwater wireless optical links by Xiaoqian LIU, Xinke TANG, Yuhan DONG

    Published 2023-05-01
“…Underwater wireless optical communication (UWOC) has been widely used in the construction of underwater communication network for the advantages of high data rates, small latency, high flexibility and scalability. However, due to the absorption and scattering effects of seawater, the spatial characteristics of UWOC links have not been studied extensively, especially in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) scenario.A linear array MIMO UWOC link geometry was considered and a weighted exponential function polynomial (WEFP) model was proposed to characterize the photon irradiance distribution at the receiving plane of general MIMO UWOC links with arbitrary numbers of light sources.Numerical results suggest that the proposed WEFP model fits well with the results of Monte Carlo simulations in turbid water environment.…”

Nonself-Adjoint Second-Order Difference Operators in Limit-Circle Cases by Bilender P. Allahverdiev

    Published 2012-01-01
“…In each case, we construct a self-adjoint dilation of the maximal dissipative operator and its incoming and outgoing spectral representations, which make it possible to determine the scattering matrix of the dilation. We also establish a functional model of the maximal dissipative operator and determine its characteristic function through the Titchmarsh-Weyl function of the self-adjoint operator. …”

Closed-channel parameters of Feshbach resonances by Pascal Naidon

    Published 2025-01-01
“…It appears however that short-range two-body correlations and three-body observables are affected by a parameter of the closed channel called the "closed-channel scattering length". A photoassociation experiment is proposed to measure this parameter in ultracold atom systems.…”

Holographic zero sound for N=2 SCFTs in 4d by Dibakar Roychowdhury

    Published 2025-01-01
“…The color sector reveals gapless excitations, one of which propagates with a finite phase velocity while the other mode attenuates through scattering. The flavour sector, on the other hand, reveals spectrum that contains quasiparticle excitations which propagate with a definite phase velocity together with modes that propagate with a finite group velocity which quantum attenuates quite similar in spirit as that of Landau's zero sound modes. …”
