Novel distinguisher for SM4 cipher algorithm based on deep learning by Huijiao WANG, Xin ZHANG, Yongzhuang WEI, Lingchen LI

“…A method was proposed to construct a deep learning distinguisher model for large state block ciphers with large-block and long-key in view of the problem of high data complexity, time complexity and storage complexity of large state block cipher distinguishers, and the neural distinguishers were constructed for SM4 algorithm.Drawing inspiration from the idea that ciphertext difference could improve the performance of distinguishers, a new input data format for neural distinguisher was designed by using partial difference information between ciphertext pairs as part of the training data.The residual neural network model was used to construct the neural distinguisher.The training dataset for large blocks was preprocessed.Additionally, an improved strategy for model relearning was proposed to address the high specificity and low sensitivity of the constructed distinguisher.Experimental results show that the proposed deep learning model for SM4 can achieve 9 rounds neural distinguisher.The accuracy of 4～9 rounds distinguishers can reach up to 100%, 76.14%, 65.20%, 59.28%, 55.89% and 53.73% respectively.The complexity and accuracy of the constructed differential neural distinguisher are significantly better than those of traditional differential distinguishers, and it is currently the best neural distinguisher for the block cipher SM4 to our knowledge.It also proves that the deep learning method is effective and feasible in the security analysis of block cipher of large block.…”

Temporal and Spatial Characteristics of Precipitation in West River Basin Based on Remote Sensing Precipitation by QIN Zhanbo, FANG Rongjie, HUANG Guangling, SU Zhong, XU Jingxuan

“…To accurately analyze the spatial and temporal characteristics of precipitation in the West River Basin,this paper evaluates the applicability of GPM precipitation data in the West River Basin from 2001 to 2019 by the measured precipitation data from 34 meteorological stations in the basin and quantitatively analyzes the spatiotemporal variation characteristics of precipitation in the West River Basin based on the GPM data.The results show that the GPM data are consistent with the measured precipitation data with reasonable errors,and have applicability in the West River Basin.The annual precipitation in the basin shows an overall upward trend,and the characteristics of alternate stages of drought and flood periods.The precipitation from April to September accounts for 78.39% of the whole year.The spatial distribution of annual and monthly precipitation shows a gradually increasing trend from west to east step by step.The precipitation has increased in the past 19 years,but 72.39% of the areas do not reach the confidence level of 90%.The degree of precipitation variation is mainly moderate,accounting for 66.24%.In the past 19 years,78.50% of the areas have shown reverse continuous precipitation,and 61.16% of the areas where precipitation increased in the past 19 years do not reach the confidence level of 90%.The future precipitation is likely to reverse to a decreasing trend.The research results can provide theoretical support for scientific planning of West River Basin water resources and promoting the high-quality development of river basin water conservancy in the new stage.…”

Future Precipitation Projection Based on Multiple Statistical Downscaling Methods — A Case Study of Tibetan Plateau by DONG Qianjin, YUAN Xin

“…Although the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project 6 (CMIP6) can well predict large-scale climatic factors,its effect on projecting watershed scales is still different from the measured data.The error of climate models is even bigger over the Tibetan Plateau,which is a high-altitude region with complicated terrain.Based on the historical scenario of the latest generation of high-resolution CMIP6 model and a variety of future climate emission scenarios such as SSP126,SSP245,SSP370,and SSP585,this paper conducts downscaling analysis and evaluates the projection performance of various statistical downscaling methods such as bias correction,KNN,and SDSM.On this basis,the best statistical downscaling method is used to project future precipitation over the Tibetan Plateau, and the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics of the projected precipitation are analyzed and compared with the historical precipitation over the Tibetan Plateau.The results reveal that the applicability amongst the three statistical downscaling methods in the Tibetan Plateau is large,with the linear regression downscaling method performing the best,followed by the bias correction method and the KNN analogy method.According to the analysis of future precipitation projections,the average precipitation and extreme precipitation over the Tibetan Plateau in the next 80 years will exhibit an overall upward trend,although the rise will be slight,and the spatial distribution will not change much.The results can provide a scientific foundation for the evaluation,planning,and management of water resources on the Tibetan Plateau.…”

Temporal and Spatial Changes of Vegetation Coverage in Duliu River Basin from 2000 to 2021 Based on MODIS Data by ZHAI Xiang, ZHAO Qingsong

“…Changes in vegetation coverage can reflect the improvement or degradation of the ecological environment,so as to help identify the evolution characteristics of the regional ecological environment.This paper takes the Duliu River Basin as the research area and calculates the vegetation coverage condition of the basin by using a pixel binary model based on MODIS-NDVI product data.The changing trend,fluctuations,and abnormal conditions of the vegetation coverage of the basin over the past 22 years are analyzed through the analyses of the trend,the anomalous percentage,and the coefficient of variation.The results indicate that ① the vegetation coverage in the Duliu River Basin is generally higher or high,with excellent performance and significant seasonal distribution characteristics;② the vegetation coverage is mainly increasing, and the similarity between summer and interannual changes is high,while the changing trend between spring and winter is similar;③ for the past 22 years,the annual vegetation coverage of the basin has mostly been in a normal state,with a relatively stable proportion in annual data.There are more abnormal states in spring and winter.The abnormal changes in vegetation coverage in the same season of different years are more significant compared with the annual data of different years;④ from 2000 to 2021,the overall vegetation coverage shows a stable state.However,the vegetation coverage in winter and spring is relatively unstable,and the fluctuation in winter and spring is more significant than that in summer and autumn.The interannual and summer distribution patterns are relatively consistent in terms of spatiotemporal changes.…”
