Effect of plasma assisted combustion on emissions of a premixed nitrous oxide fuel blend
Published 2025-03-01“…It was found that once the input voltage crossed a critical value, the chemiluminescent concentrations of CH* and NH2* saw a significant rise, leading non-monotonic increase in the concentration of NOx with this phenomenon lessening as equivalence ratios increased, with the stoichiometric emissions being relatively unaffected. …”

Incidence, risk factors, and outcomes of the transition of HIPEC-induced acute kidney injury to acute kidney disease: a retrospective study
Published 2024-12-01“…The multivariate analysis identified that ascites, GRAN%, estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), and intraoperative (IO) hypotension duration were associated with the development of HIPEC-induced AKI. Higher uric acid, lessened eGFR, and prolonged IO hypotension duration were more predominant in patients proceeding with AKD. …”

Novel histone deacetylase-5 inhibitor T2943 exerts an anti-depressive effect in mice by enhancing GRID1 expression
Published 2025-02-01“…Gene ontology and pathway enrichment analysis via CUT&Tag suggested the following mechanism for the antidepressant action of T2943: T2943 inhibits HDAC5 activity to promote H3K14 acetylation. This modification loosens the chromatin structure, allowing transcription factors to bind to the Grid1 promoter region and enhance its transcription and expression. …”

Optimizing fast charging protocols for lithium-ion batteries using reinforcement learning: Balancing speed, efficiency, and longevity
Published 2025-03-01“…Slower profiles, on the other hand, improve long-term battery health and efficiency by controlling temperature and minimizing deterioration, even though they require longer charging times. The RL-based approach balances quick charging with battery preservation by implementing a reward system that penalizes dangerous conditions like high voltage or temperature in order to lessen these trade-offs. These results highlight the necessity of sophisticated charging processes to maximize efficiency in battery-dependent systems, such as electric cars and portable devices.…”

Underground Karst Stratification in Covered Karst Areas Under Control of River Valley Evolution: A Case Study of Baishiyao Hydropower Station
Published 2023-01-01“…The underground karsts of the river valley in the covered karst area generally have the characteristics of vertical zoning with a strong upper part and a weak lower part. The causes of such vertical zoning are still unclear, which brings difficulties to practical engineering applications. Therefore, the multi-phase superimposed stratification model of river valley karsts is simplified to the three-phase superimposed strengthening model of underground karsts of the river valley. The simplification is conducted on the basis of finding out the characteristic karstification heads such as the maximum karstification head, the maximum strengthening head, and the latest strengthening head in the evolution process of the river valley from the canyon period to the basin period. The three-phase superimposed strengthening model is divided into the deep isolated cave layer, middle enhanced karst layer, and modern karst-influenced layer from bottom to top.Taking the Baishiyao Hydropower Station as an engineering example, this study analyzes the evolution of the river valley and the stratification of the underground karst profile. It is proposed that as the modern karst-influenced layer of the dam foundation is strongly developed,it is the key point of anti-seepage.The maximum anti-seepage depth of karsts should enter the middle enhanced karst layer to greatly lessen the anti-seepage treatment of karst leakage of the dam foundation and save engineering investment.Years of leakage observation suggest that the anti-seepage effect is good. The underground karst stratification in the covered karst area is of certain practical significance and can be used as a reference for the seepage prevention engineering of similar dam foundations.…”
