El nexo migración-desplazamiento-asilo en el orden fronterizo de las cosas. Una propuesta analítica by Gloria Naranjo Giraldo

Published 2015-01-01
“…Asumir el reconocimiento de los nexos entre tipos de migración y de los diferentes posicionamientos de las personas, plantea retos de conceptualización en torno a las continuidades entre procesos migratorios, en la perspectiva de superar dualismos teóricos y metodológicos que analizan estas tipologías de manera separada. …”

Investigating the Pulmonary Host Response of Acinetobacter baumannii Infection-Associated Pneumonia by Metagenomic Next-Generation Sequencing by Mu-Jung Chou, Chih-Hung Cheng, Hui-Ching Wang, Ming-Ju Tsai, Chau-Chyun Sheu, Wei-An Chang

Published 2025-01-01
“…Background: For investigating the host response in Acinetobacter baumannii associated pneumonia, we analyzed the host genetic sequences obtained from metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS). Methods: The samples for mNGS were bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) collected from the lungs of patients infected with A. baumannii and from patients without bacterial infections. …”

Leveraging hybrid model of ConvNextBase and LightGBM for early ASD detection via eye-gaze analysis by Ranjeet Bidwe, Sashikala Mishra, Simi Bajaj, Ketan Kotecha

Published 2025-06-01
“…This proposed work offers • A novel method of ConvNextBase and LightGBM leveraging eye position as a feature for early detection of autistic traits. • A new ConvNextBase architecture proposed with few unfreezed layers and extra dense layers with units of 512 and 128, respectively, and dropout layers with a rate of 0.5 that extract rich, high-level, and more complex features from the images to improve generalization and mitigate overfitting. • A LightGBM model performed classification using 3-fold cross-validation and found the best parameters for bagging_function, feature_fraction, max_depth, Number_of_leaves and learning_rate with values of 0.8, 0.8, −1, 31 and 0.1 respectively, to improve the model's robustness on unseen data. This proposed method is trained and tested on the publicly available Kaggle dataset, and results are benchmarked with other state-of-the-art methods. …”

In-silico formulation of a next-generation polyvalent vaccine against multiple strains of monkeypox virus and other related poxviruses. by Abu Tayab Moin, Nurul Amin Rani, Rajesh B Patil, Tanjin Barketullah Robin, Md Asad Ullah, Zahidur Rahim, Md Foyzur Rahman, Talha Zubair, Mohabbat Hossain, A K M Moniruzzaman Mollah, Nurul Absar, Mahboob Hossain, Mohammed Abul Manchur, Nazneen Naher Islam

Published 2024-01-01
“…Mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) virus and some related poxviruses including smallpox virus pose a significant threat to public health, and effective prevention and treatment strategies are needed. This study utilized a reverse vaccinology approach to retrieve conserved epitopes for monkeypox virus and construct a vaccine that could provide cross-protection against related viruses with similar antigenic properties. …”
