Indicative features of tissue and microbial sensitization in the pathogenesis of generalized parodontitis associated with rheumatoid arthritis
Published 2024-06-01“…Established sensitization to bone antigen in a small number of patients (27-33%) with GP, which was significantly more frequent (61-80%) in patients with GP associated with RA, indicates that in the latter, allergy is to a greater extent due to tissue systemic damage to connective tissue than GP. However, a certain allergy to bone tissue in GP may indicate the inclusion of an immune component in the pathogenesis of GP. …”

Effects of oral Lcarnitine supplementation on liver enzymes in pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients in the maintenance phase of treatment: a randomized clinical trial st...
Published 2025-01-01“…The incidence of side effects was significantly higher in the Lcarnitine group than in the placebo group (18% vs 4%, P = 0.025).ConclusionThe results of this study suggested that a 60-day Lcarnitine treatment can improve liver enzyme levels and thus prevent the extent of liver damage during the treatment of ALL. Based on the results of our study, Lcarnitine supplementation may have a beneficial effect on liver enzyme levels in pediatric ALL patients during the maintenance phase of treatment.Clinical Trial Registration:https://irct.behdasht.gov.ir/search/result?…”

CD73/adenosine dynamics in treatment-induced pneumonitis: balancing efficacy with risks of adverse events in combined radio-immunotherapies
Published 2025-01-01“…Furthermore, the CD73/adenosine pathway can also limit the immune-activating effects of cytotoxic therapies by degrading the pro-inflammatory danger molecule ATP, which is released into the tumor microenvironment and normal lung tissue upon therapy-induced cell damage. Thus, while targeting CD73 may enhance the efficacy of radio-immunotherapies in cancer treatment by mitigating tumor immune escape and improving immune-mediated tumor killing, it also raises concerns about increased immune-related adverse events (irAEs) in the normal tissue. …”
