Safety Characteristic Evaluation of Cage in Cylindrical Roller Bearing at the Stage of Start-Up and Stop
Published 2020-01-01“…The dynamics model of cylindrical roller bearing (CRB) in aeroengine main shaft was promoted and solved by Hilber–Hughes–Taylor (HHT) integer algorithm with variable step in combination with symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) parallel solving technology, and a finite element model of roller to cage contact was built. The dynamic characteristics of CRB at the stage of start-up and stop were analyzed firstly, and then, the collision forces between rollers and cage were used as the boundary conditions of the finite element model to discuss the influences of working conditions, structural parameters, and materials on the stress distribution and safety characteristic of cage at the stage of start-up and stop. …”

“Fierce and Free, or Caged and Cowed”: Interspecies Oppression and Survival in Lucy Ellmann’s Ducks, Newburyport
Published 2024-02-01“…In light of the wild creature’s function of foil for both the narrator and Stacy (De Bruyn 274-79), I propose that Ellmann presents interspecies articulations as a harbinger of hope in a cultural context in which the girl is nevertheless constantly forced to navigate the tensions between the aspects of her connection to the animal world that make her fierce and free and those that work to keep her—and symbolically all women, minority groups, and nature—caged and cowed.…”

STRENGTH ANALYSIS OF THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT AND THE CAGE OF CONSTANT VELOCITY UNIVERSAL JOINT TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY FOR A HEAVY⁃DUTY VEHICLE
Published 2024-08-01“…The force and torque transmitted by the ball cage constant velocity universal joint transmission assembly of heavy⁃duty vehicles are greater than that of ordinary vehicles, and the working conditions have higher requirements.Under the impact load, static strength failure or fatigue failure of the intermediate shaft may occur,as well as the cage damage under the bigger interaxial angles. Therefore,it is very important to study the strength of the intermediate shaft and the cage in the ultimate working condition. In this study, the ball cage constant velocity universal joint transmission assembly for a heavy⁃duty vehicle was taken as the object.Firstly, the force analysis and the finite element simulation were carried out on the intermediate shaft and the results were compared to verify the model accuracy.Secondly, the stress distribution and variation law of the cage were obtained through simulation analysis under the different interaxial angles. Finally, the torsional static strength test and the cage hardness test were carried out.The results show that the intermediate shaft and the cage meet the requirements under normal working conditions, but the cage may be broken under extreme working conditions. This research can provide reference for the design and manufacture of ball cage constant velocity universal joint transmission assembly of heavy⁃duty vehicles.…”

Finite Element Simulation Analysis of Dynamic Contact Characteristic of Deep Groove Ball Bearing
Published 2015-01-01“…A multi-body dynamic contact finite element model of a deep groove ball bearings that be used in planetary gear is established in LS-DYNA,based on explicit dynamics finite element method, considering effect of rotational speed of bearing outer ring, radial load and rotational speed of carrier, the simulation analysis of dynamic contact characteristic(displacement, velocity, stress and contact force)under different working conditions are carried out,the dynamic contact response of the bearing is obtained. The study shows that the rolling exist revolution and rotation movement during operation, the maximum and the minimum line speed occurred at the contact point with the outer ring and the inner ring. The maximum stress occurred when the rolling contact with outer ring or inner ring, and the influence of the rotational speed to the maximum stress is little. It is proved reliable based on the simulation results compared with Hertz solution. The contacting force fluctuation between the rolling and cage is bigger than that and the inner or outer ring, but the value is the minimum, the contacting force value between the rolling and the outer ring or inner is almost same with the radial load.…”
