Dihydroporphyrin iron (III) enhances low temperature tolerance by increasing carbon and nitrogen metabolism in Andrographis paniculata
Published 2025-01-01“…To evaluate whether and how DH-Fe alleviates LT stress in A. paniculata, different DH-Fe concentrations (0, 10, 20, and 40 μg·L-1) were applied to estimate its effects on C and N metabolism and antioxidative capacity in A. paniculata grown under 20°C. Pre-treatment of DH-Fe alleviated LT-induced anthocyanin accumulation. …”

Species richness is not a good predictor for above-ground biomass in a warm temperate deciduous broadleaf forest
Published 2025-01-01“…Abstract Background Biomass is the result of long-term production and metabolism in forest ecosystems and is an important indicator of the carbon storage capacity of forests. Although there is increasing empirical evidence supporting the positive impact of biodiversity on forest productivity and biomass, there is still uncertainty about the relative importance of tree diversity in determining carbon storage compared to other factors such as environmental conditions, functional characteristics and stand structure, especially in complex forest ecosystems. …”

Experimental Study on Impermeability Law of Aquiclude Reconstructed by Mudstone of External Dump in Arid Zone
Published 2021-01-01“…In order to achieve the goal of ecological restoration, plant irrigation, and water retention in the external dump of open-pit coal mine in the arid desert area, it is proposed to use the mudstone in the stripped material to reconstruct the surface aquiclude and improve the water holding capacity of the topsoil. By taking the Hongshaquan Open-Pit Coal Mine as the study object, the red mudstone of mining level +650 was selected as the topsoil aquiclude material through the geological survey. …”

Impact of endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidases 1 (ERAP1) and 2 (ERAP2) on neutrophil cellular functions
Published 2025-01-01“…In these cells following 3 h or 24 h rhERAP stimulation by Western Blot, RT-qPCR, Elisa, Confocal microscopy, transwell migration assay, Oxygraphy and Flow Cytometry we assessed: i) rhERAP internalization; ii) activation; iii) migration; iv) oxygen consumption rate; v) reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation; granule release; vi) phagocytosis; and vii) autophagy.ResultsWe observed that following stimulation rhERAPs: i) were internalized by neutrophils; ii) triggered their activation as witnessed by increased percentage of MAC-1+CD66b+ expressing neutrophils, cytokine expression/release (IL-1β, IL-8, CCL2, TNFα, IFNγ, MIP-1β) and granule enzyme secretion (myeloperoxidase, Elastase); iii) increased neutrophil migration capacity; iv) increased autophagy and phagocytosis activity; v) reduced ROS accumulation and did not influence oxygen consumption rate.ConclusionOur study provides novel insights into the biological role of ERAPs, and indicates that extracellular ERAPs, contribute to shaping neutrophil homeostasis by promoting survival and tolerance in response to stress-related inflammation. …”

Adjusting (AlNi)/(FeCr) ratio to tailor microstructure and properties of A2-B2 dual-phase (AlNi)x(FeCr)100-x medium-entropy alloys
Published 2025-01-01“…Compressive tests and EBSD analyses indicated that the presence of the core zone having a structure of B2 matrix embedded with A2 nanoparticles was particularly effective for enhancing the strain-hardening capacity and wear resistance. This study demonstrates a simple way, via directly adjusting the fraction ratio of (AlNi) to (FeCr), to control the heterogeneous structure of this MEA system for desirable properties, which can be extended to other A2-B2 dual-phase multi-principal element alloy systems.…”
