Genetic Structure and Optimal Population Size of Wild and Mass-Selected Silver Pomfret (<i>Pampus argenteus</i>) in China: The Implications for Conservation and Selection Breeding Programs
Published 2025-05-01“…The analysis utilized 19 highly polymorphic microsatellite loci, mt<i>COI</i>, and mt<i>D-loop</i> sequences to assess genetic structure. Compared with the wild populations, the average number of alleles (<i>Na</i>: 11.158–12.947), effective alleles (<i>Ne</i>: 5.592–6.502), observed heterozygosity (<i>Ho</i>: 0.626–0.665), expected heterozygosity (<i>He</i>: 0.777–0.796), and allele richness (<i>Ar</i>: 10.900–12.510) of the selected populations did not significantly decrease. …”

American Indian community engagement and the structural and social determinants of health: results from the THRIVE assessment
Published 2025-08-01“…This paper presents the community-driven adaptation process and results for the Tool for Health and Resilience in Vulnerable Environments (THRIVE) assessment, a social justice and equity-focused screening tool, in one reservation-based American Indian community in the US.MethodsUsing principles of community-engaged research (CER) and community-based participatory research (CBPR), the authors describe the importance of co-creating data collection tools with community members to document the social and structural determinants of health. Authors describe a step-by-step approach to document inequities; this includes (1) recognizing the need to document inequities, (2) identifying existing tools to measure inequities, (3) adapting tools and piloting them with members of the community, (4) refining the tool based on community feedback, and (5) administering the tool to address needs identified.ResultsSurvey data from the THRIVE assessment and community-engaged process (N = 100) documented the social and structural determinants of health. …”

Pharmacological and structural characterization of vibostolimab, a novel anti-TIGIT blocking antibody for cancer immunotherapy
Published 2025-08-01“…The mouse surrogate anti-TIGIT antibodies were identified and used to extensively investigate the mechanism of action of anti-TIGIT antibodies as monotherapy or in combination with anti-programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) antibody in vivo by gene expression profiling and flow cytometry analyses with a mouse syngeneic tumor model. Results Structural analyses with solution NMR and X-ray crystallography revealed that vibostolimab binds the CC’C’’FG loop interface of TIGIT, completely competing for the binding site of CD155 with a larger coverage area than another anti-TIGIT antibody tiragolumab, consistent with surface plasmon resonance analysis, though mouse models with similar antibodies revealed no functional difference in antitumor efficacy. …”
