Multidimensional factors of depressive symptoms among Chinese undergraduate students: a cross-sectional study using binary logistic regression by Wenjia Chen, Jianfei Bai, Haitao Niu, Qingying Zhu, Xiuhan Zhao, Yanyu Dong

    Published 2025-08-01
“…Standardized scales assessed depressive symptoms (PHQ-9), perceived stress (PSS), academic procrastination (PASS), physical activity (PARS-3), cyberbullying victimization (CVQ), and alcohol use (AUDIT).ResultsResults revealed significant negative associations of sleep duration and physical activity with depressive symptoms (p<0.05), while academic procrastination, cyberbullying, perceived stress, and alcohol consumption showed significant positive predictive effects (p<0.01).DiscussionDespite limitations of convenience sampling and cross-sectional design, findings suggest a complex interplay of multidimensional factors in college students’ mental health. …”

Genome-resolved transcriptomics reveals novel PCE-dehalogenating bacteria from Aarhus Bay sediments by Chen Zhang, Tom N. P. Bosma, Siavash Atashgahi, Hauke Smidt

    Published 2025-05-01
“…Moreover, metatranscriptome analysis suggested that the RDase genes were likely under the regulation of transcriptional regulators not previously associated with organohalide respiration, such as HrcA and SigW, which are known to respond to abiotic environmental stresses, such as temperature changes. Combined application of genomic methods enabled us to pinpoint novel OHRB from pristine environments not previously known to mediate reductive dechlorination and to add to the current knowledge of the diversity, activity, and regulation of RDase genes.IMPORTANCEPristine marine environment is the major reservoir for naturally produced organohalides, in which reductive dehalogenation underneath plays an important role in the overall cycling of these compounds. …”

Research on the Deformation and Failure Mechanism of Flexible Formwork Walls in Gob-Side-Entry Retaining of Ultra-Long Isolated Mining Faces and Pressure Relief-Control Technology... by Heng Wang, Junqing Guo

    Published 2025-05-01
“…The key findings are as follows: ① Blast-induced roof cutting reduces the cantilever beam length adjacent to the flexible formwork wall, thereby decreasing the load per unit area on the flexible concrete wall. This reduction consequently alleviates lateral abutment stress and loading in the floor heave-affected zone, achieving effective control of roadway surrounding rock stability. ② Compared with non-roof cutting, the plastic zone damage area of surrounding rock in the gob-side entry retained by flexible formwork concrete wall is significantly reduced after roof cutting, and the vertical stress on the flexible formwork wall is also significantly decreased. ③ Distinct differences exist in the distribution patterns and magnitudes of working resistance for face-end hydraulic supports between the wide coal-pillar side and the pillarless gob-side-entry retaining side after roof cutting. …”
