    Formation of productivity of binary and single-species cenosis in the conditions of the Western Forest-Steppe by N. М. RUDАVSКА, H. S. КОNYК, А. М. SHUVАR, L. L. BЕHЕN, О. F. ТYМCHYSHYN, H. М. DОRОТА

    Published 2022-12-01
“…Mineral fertilizer N32P32K32 ensured the formation of a greater number of beans, the mass and number of grains in the ear, and plant productivity, but had a negative effect on the process of root nodule formation: in mixtures with vetch, their mass decreased by 0.82–0.84 g/plant (to 0.52–0.66 g), in mixtures with lupine – by 0.07–0.17 g/plant (to 2.29–2.36 g). The same pattern was observed in single-species crops. Reduction of the seeding rate of the grain component by 1 million germinated seeds/ha in mixtures with legumes contributed to the increase in the number of grains in the ear (panicle) and seeds in the bean pod. …”

Deep Learning for Risky Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Event Prediction in Hypertensive Patients by Francesco Goretti, Ali Salman, Alessandra Cartocci, Alessio Luschi, Leandro Pecchia, Massimo Milli, Ernesto Iadanza

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Additionally, we explored transfer learning (TL) to enhance the model capabilities by adapting our AF classification model to address CE classification challenges, effectively transferring learned features and patterns, without extensive retraining. As a result, our models achieved accuracy rates of 77% for AF and 82% for CEs, with high sensitivity, highlighting the efficacy of synthetic data generation and transfer learning in improving classification performance across diverse medical datasets. …”

Influence of copper nanoparticles on the growth characteristics of tumors in white outbreed rats by P. S. Kachesova, I. A. Goroshinskaya, G. V. Zhukova, E. V. Shalashnaya, I. A. Kaplieva, V. B. Borodulin

    Published 2022-09-01
“…The effects of nanodispersed copper differed in tumors with different histological structures and growth patterns. Experiments on a transplantable, slowly growing sarcoma 45 showed a decrease in the specific tumor growth rate after a single injection of nanoparticles (1.25 mg/kg), a decrease in tumor size could be observed after 4 injections (a total dose of 5 mg/kg). …”

In vivo estimation of motor unit intrinsic properties in individuals with spinal cord injury by Zhihao Duan, Asta Kizyte, Emelie Butler Forslund, Elena M. Gutierrez-Farewik, Pawel Herman, Ruoli Wang

    Published 2025-06-01
“…This finding suggested that the MUs in the TA have a slower recovery period before becoming excitable again, which may result in a lower firing rate of MUs in the TA muscle. No significant differences were observed in the soleus and gastrocnemius medialis muscles between the SCI and control groups for either the soma size or inert period parameters. …”

Frequency of fetal blood sampling, delivery mode and neonatal outcome after revised CTG‐classification and updated lactate meter in Sweden: An observational study by Klara Gröndal, Erika Gyllencreutz, Stina Wretler, Kari Johansson, Malin Holzmann

    Published 2025-04-01
“…We hypothesized that with the revised CTG classification, which accepts more fetal heart rate patterns as normal than the previous, the frequency of FBS would be lower, the proportion of acidemia at FBS and adverse neonatal outcomes would be higher among sampled fetuses, but not among the entire laboring population, and the higher lactate readings might increase the proportion of cesarean delivery in general anesthesia and cesarean delivery above vacuum extraction. …”

Mechanisms of improved nitrogen utilization and root architecture in cotton under reduced fertilization: a comparative study of individual and group planting systems by Sijia Wang, Sijia Wang, Jinghua Zhao, Jinghua Zhao, Chunxia Wang, Tingrui Yang, Tingrui Yang

    Published 2025-07-01
“…Total nitrogen content across cotton organs followed the order: leaves > stems > roots, showing positive correlation with nitrogen application rate. The irrigation quota (48.0%–51.3%) was found to contribute more to plant nitrogen content than nitrogen application (22.7%–48.7%). …”

Physics-based simulation of seismicity based on fault kinematic models: a case study of the Northern Shanxi Rift, North China by Shangwu Song, Yuhang Li, Ming Hao, Peng Han, Ke Jia, Qingliang Wang

    Published 2025-06-01
“…In contrast, the North Hengshan fault exhibits the lowest CoV value, indicating relatively stable seismicity and a quasi-periodic pattern. Correlation analysis between fault slip rates and recurrence interval variability reveals that faults with lower slip rates tend to exhibit stronger clustering behavior, while faults with higher slip rates tend to exhibit a more pronounced quasi-periodic pattern. …”
