Study on the evolution law of acoustic emission time series characteristics of coal-rock assemblage under true triaxial conditions
Published 2025-05-01“…IntroductionThis study aims to investigate the fractal characteristics of acoustic emission (AE) signals during coal-rock rupture and their predictive significance for impact dynamic hazards.MethodsTrue triaxial loading/unloading tests were conducted on five coal-rock composites with varying coal-thickness ratios using the TRW-3000 system, with AE signals analyzed to correlate stress evolution and temporal-spatial fractal features.ResultsKey findings reveal that: 1) AE parameters exhibit stress-dependent behavior, growing slowly initially, stabilizing during stress-holding, and surging exponentially before peak stress, with ∼90% of cumulative energy released pre-destabilization; 2) Ring counts follow an Λ-type trend against absolute energy, while coal-thickness proportion induces a mirror-image N-type pattern in AE parameters; 3) High-energy/high-ringcount AE events cluster spatiotemporally before failure, with clear time sequence precursors—short-duration ground sounds and consecutive rises in energy/frequency serve as critical early-warning indicators, whereas isolated signals lack hazard relevance.DiscussionThese fractal patterns and precursor thresholds enhance real-time monitoring and risk assessment frameworks, offering actionable strategies for mitigating coal-rock dynamic disasters in underground mining.…”

Design and application of a three-dimensional skeletonized structure for distal radius fracture splinting based on 3D printing technology
Published 2025-05-01“…The test results demonstrate that, under pressure of 150 N, the radial offset of the 3D printed splint is reduced by 1.7 mm compared to that of the traditional small splint, with a corresponding decrease in stress by 0.01 MPa as well. In terms of weight, a set of 3D printed splints weighs 89 g while a set of conventional splints weighs 102 g, resulting in a significant reduction of 13 g for the 3D printed splints compared to their traditional counterparts. …”

Differentiated Prevention of Cardiac Complications of Extracardiac Surgery
Published 2011-10-01“…The latter were divided into 3 types: 1) coronary complications due to the inconsistency of oxygen delivery and consumption; 2) coronary ones due to atherosclerotic plaque rupture, followed by coronary artery thrombosis; 3) worsening heart failure. To predict different types of complications, one must focus attention on the following signs and, if needed, perform additional studies: 1) the functional class of exertional angina, stress tests (stress echocardiography using dobutamine or other agents), coronary angiography, and blood troponin T and I levels for Type 1; 2) the signs of the extent of the atherosclerotic process and the blood levels of C-reactive protein and other inflammatory markers for Type 2; 3) the clinical signs of heart failure and the blood levels of natriuretic peptides for Type 3. …”

Published 2025-08-01“…To further explore the mechanistic effects of probiotics, HT29 intestinal epithelial cells were treated with the probiotic mix in the presence (or not) of hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) for inducing oxidative stress. The supplementation with the same probiotic mix used in the in vivo study exhibited a marked cytoprotective effect by attenuating the H₂O₂-induced stress response: e.g., probiotic exposure led to a significant reduction of HSP60 protein levels and to a restoration of tight junction proteins, putatively contributing to preserving/remodeling the epithelial barrier integrity. …”
