Evaluating the role of quantitative pupillometry in chronic subdural hematoma: A pilot study
Published 2025-01-01“…Pupillometry assessments were conducted prospectively using the automated NPi 200® Pupillometer and the Neurological Pupil Index (NPi) was measured pre- and post-operatively. Clinical and radiological parameters including the initial Glasgow Coma Scale (GSC) score, hematoma volume, residual cavity area (RCA), and the Evans index were obtained and all parameters were statistically compared. …”

Fc-Elabela mitigates heart failure without liver and renal toxicity in mice
Published 2025-07-01“…We found that Fc-ELA-21 significantly improved cardiac systolic dysfunction, mitigated pulmonary congestion, slowed down weight gain, activated vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3 (VEGFR3) and APJ-mediated extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) 1/2 signaling, and promoted endothelial cell proliferation in post-infarct mice. Moreover, the structure and function of the liver and kidney were normal in Fc-ELA-21-treated mice.ConclusionOur results demonstrate that Fc-ELA-21 improves systolic heart failure by activating VEGFR3 signaling and suggest a mechanism for cross-talk between the APJ receptor and VEGFR3 in myocardial infarction MI. …”

Systems biology-based assessment of immune responses to whole cell and acellular pertussis vaccines
Published 2025-08-01“…We used RNA-Seq and ribosome profiling (RP) to identify transcriptional and translational signatures, respectively, in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) collected from 50 infant recipients of DTP or DTaP at two time-points (baseline (pre-vaccination at Day 1) and either Day 2 or 8 post-vaccination). We also used standard serologic methods to assess immunogenicity, and correlated these results with transcriptional and translational signatures. …”

ANALYSIS OF APOPTOSIS FACTORS IN PATIENTS WITH PREINVASIVE AND INVASIVE CERVICAL CANCER
Published 2015-04-01“…This article assesses the disturbance degree of apoptotic program in patients with preinvasive and invasive cervical cancer by investigating the expression level of genes of caspases-3, -6, -8 и -9 in mononuclear cells of periphery blood and in tumor tissue on the two regulating levels – on mRNA level (transcriptional) and proteolytic activity (post transcriptional). 75 patients with stage III of cervical intraepithelial neoplasias (CIN) III (middle age of 32,9 ± 7,4),45 patients with stage IA (31,3 ± 6,0), 21 – with stage II (43,6 ± 13,2), 15 – with stage III–IV (46,9 ± 11,1) have been examined. …”

Outcomes of BTD vs. BCD as initial treatment of renal amyloid light-chain amyloidosis: a retrospective cohort study in China
Published 2025-12-01“…There was no significant difference of renal and cardiac response between groups. However, post-treatment proteinuria levels after treatment were significantly lower in the BTD group compared to those in the BCD group (747 mg/24h vs. 2928 mg/24h, p = 0.048).Conclusions Compared to BCD regimen for renal AL amyloidosis, initial treatment with BTD regimen demonstrated similar rates of hematologic CR but showed superior reduction in proteinuria, reduced cumulative dose of bortezomib and faster time-to-response.…”
