Physical Inactivation of Monodon Baculovirus (Mbv), a Pathogenic Virus of Tiger Prawn (Penaeus Monodon Fab.)
Published 2007-05-01“…Transmission trial showed that infection occured 6 hours post inoculation and inclusion bodies were detected at day 5th; showed the virus lost their infectivities or virulent since no inclusion t Ddies as indicator for MBV infection were detected on hepatopancreas of shrimp test. …”

Exploration of alcohol dehydrogenase EutG from Bacillus tropicus as an eco-friendly approach for the degradation of polycyclic aromatic compounds
Published 2025-01-01“…This suggests that B. tropicus can act as an efficient, non-virulent, and reliable candidate for the eco-friendly and cost-effective bioremediation of PACs.…”

Legionella pneumophila IrsA, a novel, iron-regulated exoprotein that facilitates growth in low-iron conditions and modulates biofilm formation
Published 2025-01-01“…ABSTRACT To discover new factors that are involved in iron acquisition by Legionella pneumophila, we used RNA-Seq to identify the genes that are most highly induced when virulent strain 130b is cultured in a low-iron chemically defined medium. …”

CpG-ODN Induces a Dose-Dependent Enrichment of Immunological Niches in the Spleen and Lungs of Neonatal Chicks That Correlates with the Protective Immunity against Escherichia coli
Published 2020-01-01“…Four days after the CpG-ODN treatment (1-day after hatch), chicks were challenged with a virulent strain of E. coli (1×104 or 1×105 cfu, subcutaneously). …”

Molecular characterization of ST15 carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated in a single patient
Published 2025-01-01“…Methods: Antimicrobial susceptibility test and string test were conducted to evaluate the resistant and virulent characterization of the strains. Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) was used to investigate the homology relationship between the strains. …”

Efficacy of a reduced-dosage PRRS MLV vaccine against a NADC34-like strain of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus
Published 2025-01-01“…We observed the changes in growth performance before and after the NADC34-like PRRSV DX strain challenge and the protective effect of different vaccine dosages through multiple assays.ResultsAfter the challenge, the piglets from the challenge control group displayed clinical signs typical of PRRSV infection, including transient fever, high viremia, mild clinical symptoms, and histopathological changes in the lungs and lymph nodes, which indicates DX is a virulent virus. Without the challenge, the average daily gain of the non-immunized group at 5 weeks after the vaccination is greater than that of the 0.01 dosage group than that of the 1 dosage group, which proved that the commercial MLV vaccine has a negative effect on the growth performance of pigs and this effect may be dose-dependent. …”

Brucella suis ΔmapB outer membrane vesicles as an acellular vaccine against systemic and mucosal B. suis infection
Published 2025-01-01“…To determine the level of protection conferred by immunization, mice were challenged with virulent B. suis via intraperitoneal or intratracheal routes, and the bacterial load was quantified post-challenge.ResultsDynamic Light Scattering of the OMVs from both strains revealed the presence of spherical structures of 90-130 nm. …”
