Efficacy of PD-1/PD-L1 Inhibitors versus Chemotherapy in Lung Cancer with Brain Metastases: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Published 2022-01-01“…Statistical analysis showed that compared with chemotherapy, PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors could significantly prolong OS (hazard ratio HR=0.75, 95%confidence interval 95%CI=0.51–0.99) and PFS (HR=0.65, 95%CI=0.51–0.80). In the subgroup analysis, ICIs plus chemotherapy improved PFS (HR=0.60, 95%CI=0.40–0.80), but not OS (HR=0.75, 95%CI=0.30–1.19). …”

Determinants of outcomes in patients with hepatitis B virus-decompensated cirrhosis
Published 2025-01-01“…Risk factors associated with 3-month all-cause mortality were age, presence of ascites and hepatic encephalopathy, baseline hepatitis flares, pre-treatment HBV DNA levels, and MELD scores. In the subgroup analysis, for 3-month all-cause mortality, significant associations of age, baseline hepatitis flares, and MELD scores with pre-treatment HBV DNA levels were observed (p for interaction were 0.005, 0.032, and 0.030, respectively). …”

Higher oxidative balance score is associated with a decreased risk of infertility: an analysis of NHANES 2013–2020
Published 2025-02-01“…Similarly, women in the highest dietary OBS and lifestyle OBS quartiles had a lower infertility risk compared to those in the lowest quartiles, with ORs of 0.60 (95% CI, 0.39–0.94) and 0.54 (95% CI, 0.32–0.93), respectively. Furthermore, subgroup analysis indicated that the association between the fourth quartile of OBS and infertility remained consistent, except among women with other ethnicities—including multi-racial, and college graduate or higher.ConclusionThese findings suggest that high dietary OBS and lifestyle OBS are associated with a lower risk of infertility.…”

Fosaprepitant as combination therapy to prevent chemotherapy-induced vomiting in children: a meta-analysis
Published 2025-01-01“…Meta-analysis results showed that the complete response (CCR, no vomiting/rescue medication) rates were higher in the observation group compared to that in the control group during the acute [the relative risk: RR = 1.64, 95% confidence interval: 95%CI = 1.35–1.99, P < 0.00001], delayed vomiting [RR = 2.05, 95%CI = 1.32–3.17, P = 0.001] and overall phases [RR = 2.08, 95%CI = 1.69–2.57, P < 0.00001], with statistical significance (P < 0.05). The subgroup analysis of salvage treatment proportion revealed that the need for rescue medication was higher for patients in the control than fosaprepitan regimens [RR = 0.20, 95%CI = 0.08–0.54, P = 0.001] There was no difference in the incidence of adverse drug reaction between two groups [RR = 0.95, 95%CI = 0.75–1.19, P = 0.66].ConclusionFosaprepitant in combination with 5-HT3RA (with or without dexamethasone) has the same safety and more effective in preventing chemotherapy-induced vomiting than 5-HT3RA with or without dexamethasone.…”
