Methane Adsorption on Shale: Insights from Experiments and a Simplified Local Density Model
Published 2014-07-01“…We herein present a method for predicting adsorption isotherms of methane on shale using the simplified local density (SLD) theory: First, the adsorption isotherms of methane on shale samples were measured and then its adsorption on illite, illite/smectite mixed layer, chlorite, type I, type II and type III kerogen was described with the SLD theory. Second, based on the SLD parameters obtained from adsorption data on kerogen, clay minerals and the composition of the studied shale, we predicted adsorption capacity of the shale using a linear combination of the adsorption capacities of the pure substances weighted by their relative abundance.…”

Joint estimation of target time delay and Doppler frequency in passive radar system
Published 2015-05-01“…A novel method of joint estimation of time delay and Doppler shift in passive radar system based on short-time fractional Fourier transform (STFRFT) was proposed.Firstly,the mathematical expression of the STFRFT time-frequency resolution was studied for the quantitative comparison.Secondly,based on the projection envelops of STFRFT,a new method to estimate the time delay and Doppler shift was put forward.Finally,the factors related with the estimation precision such as signal-to-noise ratio (SNR),parameters of Gaussian window were analyzed.The simulation results demonstrate that compared with the CAF based method,proposed method can get precise time delay and Doppler shift estimations with higher probability.…”

Tasking planning based on task splitting and merging in relay satellite network
Published 2017-10-01“…To handle the low planning efficiency of the tasks with too long or too short service time,a task planning scheme was proposed based on task splitting and merging for relay satellite systems.First,a task splitting and merging was developed to transfer the task requirements of user to task units which could be planned with high efficiency.Secondly,based on the parallel machine scheduling model,the optimization problem of the task unit planning to maximize the number of completed tasks in the network was built.Further,a heuristic polynomial time scheduling algorithm was proposed.Simulation results show that compared to the traditional scheme,the task planning scheme perform better in terms of completed task number,resource utilization and fairness.…”
