Predicted indirectly recognizable HLA epitopes scores and clinical outcomes after haploidentical stem cell transplantation in pediatric patients with relapsed neuroblastoma
Published 2025-01-01“…IntroductionThe Predicted Indirectly ReCognizable HLA Epitopes (PIRCHE) model is a recently developed algorithm that predicts indirect T-cell recognition by calculating the number of such epitopes in donor-recipient pairs.MethodsIn this study, the clinical significance of PIRCHE was evaluated in pediatric patients with relapsed/progressed neuroblastoma undergoing haploidentical stem cell transplantation (haplo-SCT).ResultsA higher PIRCHE-I score was associated with faster platelet recovery (P = 0.007) and lower incidence of hemorrhagic cystitis (13% vs. 41%, P = 0.028) and invasive fungal infections (0% vs. 18%, P = 0.045). …”

Published 2025-01-01“…After propensity score matching, 163 cases from SLE and control groups were included for analysis. (1) Regarding medical complications, compared with control group, SLE group showed significant differences in osteoporosis, respiratory system disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, urinary system disorders, hematologic abnormalities, and secondary or concomitant rheumatic diseases (all P < 0.05). (2) In terms of preoperative laboratory tests, SLE group had lower platelet counts, absolute lymphocyte counts, hemoglobin levels, hematocrit, albumin levels, blood glucose levels, and activated partial thromboplastin times than control group, while C-reactive protein, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and D-dimer levels were higher (all P < 0.05).
