Fecal microbiota transplantation alleviates radiation enteritis by modulating gut microbiota and metabolite profiles by Qin Ding, Jing Xue, Nan Li, Zhihui Hu, Jianbo Song

    Published 2025-02-01
“…The results demonstrated that FMT, particularly in the M-FMT group, effectively alleviated RE by reducing DAI scores, histological damage, and inflammatory markers while enhancing enzyme activity, superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels, and intestinal absorption. FMT also modulated gut microbiota composition, increasing beneficial species, such as Blautia wexlerae and Romboutsia timonensis while decreasing Enterococcus ratti. …”

Iterative algorithm on single-channel blind separation and decoding of co-frequency modulated signals by LIAO Can-hui, TU Shi-long, WAN Jian

    Published 2011-01-01
“…An algorithm was proposed to exploit the codes in iterative single-channel blind separation and decoding of two co-frequency modulated signals with long-constraint channel codes. The output log-likelihood ratio(LLR) values of the decoder were used as a prior LLR fed back to the separator to improve the separation performance.Special emphases were laid on soft input soft output blind separation, maximum a posteriori(MAP) decoding and LLR interaction between separator and decoder.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can make a significant improvement in per-formance over the algorithms without iterations. For BPSK signals with(2,1,6) convolutional codes and random inter-leaving,a gain of about 2dB in signal-noise ratio can be obtained after two iterations.…”

Alteration of Differentiation Potentials by Modulating GATA Transcription Factors in Murine Embryonic Stem Cells by Callinice D. Capo-chichi, Jennifer L. Smedberg, Malgorzata Rula, Emmanuelle Nicolas, Anthony T. Yeung, Richard F. Adamo, Andrey Frolov, Andrew K. Godwin, Xiang-Xi Xu

    Published 2010-01-01
“…We showed that ES cells can be directed to avoid differentiating into primitive endoderm and to adopt unique lineages in vitro by modulating GATA factors. The finding offers a potential approach to produce desirable cell types from ES cells, useful for regenerative cell therapy.…”

Nonstationary First Threshold Crossing Reliability for Linear System Excited by Modulated Gaussian Process by Rita Greco, Giuseppe Carlo Marano, Alessandra Fiore, Ivo Vanzi

    Published 2018-01-01
“…The most convenient way to approach this evaluation relies on working in the time domain, where a common assumption used is to adopt the modulation of stationary envelope process instead of the envelope of modulated stationary one, by utilizing the so-called “preenvelope” process. …”

Modulation of Adult Hippocampal Neurogenesis by Early-Life Environmental Challenges Triggering Immune Activation by Ksenia Musaelyan, Martin Egeland, Cathy Fernandes, Carmine M. Pariante, Patricia A. Zunszain, Sandrine Thuret

    Published 2014-01-01
“…A growing number of studies have shown that pre- and postnatal exposure to an inflammatory stimulus can modulate the number of proliferating and differentiating neural progenitors in the adult hippocampus, and this can have an effect on behaviours of relevance to psychiatric disorders. …”
