Error performance of multi-branch dual-hop PF cooperative systems by Guangqiu LI, Jiayun DONG, Tao JIANG

    Published 2016-09-01
“…Design of multi-branch dual-hop phase-only forward(PF)cooperative systems with continuous phase frequency shift keying(CPFSK)modulation needs to determine the number of branch and modulation index. The usual solution of determining the above parameters is the time-consuming and inefficient computer simulation. An efficient solution of determining these parameters is theoretical analysis method.Semi-analytical expressions for the average bit error rate(ABER)of multi-branch dual-hop PF cooperative systems in conjunction with discrimination detection CPFSK over time-selective Rayleigh fading channels was presented. Two cases with and without antenna selection at the relays and maximum-ratio combining(MRC)receive diversity at the destination were considered. The simulation results show that numerical calculation results and simulation results for the ABERs of PF,discrimination detection,CPFSK cooperative systems are consistent and show that the above ABER theory results of CPFSK cooperative systems can be used to design PF cooperative systems.…”

Performance of FTH-PPM multiple access technology in 60 GHz wireless communication system by Chen SHEN, Xuehua LI

    Published 2017-10-01
“…Aiming at the problem of multiple access interference in 60 GHz pulse wireless communication system, the performance of system based on FTH-PPM multiple access scheme was studied.Under the IEEE 802.15.3.c channel model, the relationship between the bit error rate performance of the system and the number of frequency hopping codes, the signal to noise ratio and the number of users were analyzed. The characteristics of FTH-PPM multiple access modulation system were studied and compared with TH-PPM and TH-PAM schemes. The simulation results show that the system can meet the required bit error rate by changing the signal to noise ratio, the number of hops and the number of users. At the same time, the BER performance of FTH-PPM is better than that of TH-PAM and TH-PPM.The system can select the appropriate multiple access modulation mode according to the value of the pulse duty cycle. The research will provide technical reference for the application of 60 GHz pulse wireless communication.…”

Large dynamic range microwave photonics mixing system based on parallel DPMZM by Yongsheng GAO, Fangjing SHI, Jiajun TAN, Yangyu FAN

“…To solve the problems of nonlinear distortion and limited dynamic range of microwave photonics mixing system, a large dynamic range microwave photonics mixing system based on parallel dual parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator (DPMZM) was proposed. The parallel modulation of radio frequency and local oscillator signals was realized by using DPMZM.The third-order intermodulation distortion (IMD3) in the output intermediate frequency signal was eliminated by configuring the electro-optic modulation index of the two parallel channels and the working point of the modulators. Finally, the dynamic range of the system was improved.Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can suppress IMD3 by 17.7 dB and increase the SFDR to <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mn>127.8</mn><mtext> dB</mtext><mo>·</mo><msup> <mtext>Hz</mtext> <mrow> <mfrac> <mn>4</mn> <mn>5</mn> </mfrac> </mrow> </msup> </math></inline-formula> .…”

    Published 2023-05-01
“…Signals are susceptible to nonlinear effects in the process of underwater visible light communication (UVLC) channel transmission. In order to improve the communication performance of the system, it is very important to recover the received signals.A bidirectional gated recurrent unit model based on Bayesian optimization algorithm (BO-BiGRU) was proposed as post equalizer in UVLC system, which could automatically find the optimal hyperparameters.BO-BiGRU model was applied to the 1.2 m underwater experimental platform.64 quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM)-carrierless amplitude-and-phase modulation (CAPM) was adopted, and 3.10 Gbit/s rate of data transfer was achieved under the condition that the bit error ratio (BER) of the system was less than 3.8×10-37% forward error correction (FEC), which is 128 Mbit/s higher than the traditional post equalization method.…”

Error performance of CE-OFDM based AF systems with relay selection by Tao JIANG, Guangqiu LI, Jianhui CAI

    Published 2019-12-01
“…Constant envelope (CE) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) can develop the advantages of OFDM,and eliminate the shortcomings of high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) and sensitivity to non-linear distortion of power amplifiers. The error performance of OFDM based amplify-and-forward (AF) cooperative system with relay selection will be deteriorated due to feedback delay and other factors.Minimum mean square error (MMSE) Wiener channel predictor can alleviate the deterioration of error performance of wireless systems caused by feedback delay. For this reason, the CE-OFDM based AF cooperative system with relay selection and MMSE channel prediction which can overcome the shortcomings of OFDM and the influence of feedback delay was proposed, and its lower bound expressions for the average bit error rate (ABER) of rectangular quadrature amplitude modulation over Rayleigh block fading channels were derived. The numerical calculation and simulation results show that the lower bound expressions for the ABER of the above system has high accuracy when the modulation coefficients are small and can be used to design the AF cooperative system with CE-OFDM,channel prediction, and relay selection.…”
