RELIABILITY ESTIMATION OF MECHANICAL SEALS BASED ON ARTIFICIAL HUMMINGBIRD ALGORITHM AND THREE⁃PARAMETER WEIBULL DISTRIBUTION by LI AnHong, ZHU JunHua, YU Ling

    Published 2024-08-01
“…In order to quickly and accurately evaluate the reliability of mechanical seals, the three⁃parameter Weibull distribution was used to model the mechanical seal failure data. The reliability evaluation problem of mechanical seal was transformed into a constraint optimization problem, and a reliability evaluation method based on artificial hummingbird algorithm(AHA)was proposed.Through numerical simulation and case analysis, maximum likelihood estimation(MLE),improved Harris Hawks optimization(IHHO)algorithm and AHA were used to compare calculation accuracy and operational efficiency in solving the Weibull distribution parameter estimation problems. The results show that the parameter estimation using AHA has advantages of faster convergence speed and higher accuracy, and it can shorten the optimization time and improve the accuracy compared with MLE algorithm and IHHO algorithm, which provides a new and efficient method for Weibull parameter estimation of mechanical seals.…”

Application of cayley differential unitary space-time code in multiple-input multiple-output power line communication by Jiaxin DING, Liangfang NI, Yi WANG, Huijie DAI

    Published 2019-08-01
“…The application of Cayley differential unitary space-time code in MIMO power line communication system was studied. The linear space of complex skew-Hermitian matrices was mapped to isotropic unitary matrix constellations represented by highly non-linear Stiefel manifolds,by which signals were transmitted through a block fading multiple input multiple output power line channel with in a differential mode. Finally, based on the unconstrained solution of the Cauchy random by which data streams were represented, the approximate linear maximum likelihood estimation of the transmitted signal was induced.Simulation results show that although the performance of the proposed scheme is slightly lower than that of the system based on orthogonal differential space-time code in terms of bit error rate and diversity gain,it can ensure high-speed and reliable communication at higher signal-to-noise ratios, and is suitable for multi-input multi-output power line communication systems requiring high-speed data transmission.…”

PARAMETER ESTIMATION AND CONFIDENCE LIMIT CALCUALTION METHOD OF THREE-PARAMETER WEIBULL DISTRIBUTION by ZHANG JianFeng, XU Fang, ZHANG Yan, HUANG XiaoBo, JIA ZhuoHan

    Published 2024-01-01
“…A correlation-regression method was proposed to solve the problem of low accuracy of parameter estimation and confidence limit calculation of the three-parameter Weibull distribution. The method was combined by the correlation coefficient method (Fu method) and the nonlinear regression method which makes full use of the convenience of Fu method and the excellent estimation effect of the nonlinear regression method in estimating the three-parameter Weibull distribution. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, the correlation-regression method,Fu method and Method combining maximum likelihood estimation and empirical formulae (referred to as the “MMPDS method”) were applied to the parameter estimation and confidence limit calculation of the data distribution of a certain alloy strength value with different sample sizes, and calculation consequence of different methods was compared and analyzed. Results show that the correlation-regression method has highest parameter estimation and confidence limit calculation accuracy among the above methods. When the sample size is less than 100,its advantage is more significant, and it can accurately calculate the parameters and confidence limits of the Weibull distribution.…”

Perfect space-time block codes and high performance decoding algorithm by HU Jun-feng1, YANG Yuan1, ZHANG Hai-lin1

    Published 2007-01-01
“…Based on the structure of perfect space-time block codes(STBC),an equivalent vertical Bell Laboratories layered space-time(V-BLAST) decoding model was given.Minimum mean-square error decision feedback equalizer(MMSE-DFE) was used to preprocess this model and a decoder with boundary controlled Fano tree search algorithm was proposed. This decoder achieves almost maximum likelihood(ML) decoding performance and applies for any antenna configurations. For a wide range of signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),the decoder has lower computational complexity than that of previously proposed near-ML decoders.Operating in complex number field, the decoder is robust for any constellations. The decoder can apply for any multi-input multi-output(MIMO) systems that can be transformed into an equivalent V-BLAST model.Simulation results demonstrate the excellent performance of the proposed decoder.…”
