Investigation and Analysis of Public Participation in the River Chief System——Taking Guangdong as an Example
Published 2020-01-01“…As an important way for treatment and management of rivers and lakes,public participation is an important part of the river chief system.Based on the data of 120 000 public survey questionnaires in Guangdong Province,this paper analyzes the public participation in Guangdong's river chief system from five aspects of public awareness,participation,satisfaction,confidence,and support.The research shows that:public participation in the river chief system is relatively high in awareness,satisfaction,and confidence,but participation and support are obviously insufficient.Based on the analysis results of survey questionnaire,it proposes countermeasures and suggestions to improve the public participation mechanism in terms of establishing laws and regulations for public participation,raising public participation awareness,and setting up exclusive festivals for river protection.…”
