    Published 2012-07-01
“…To reduce the complexity of the zero-forcing(ZF)detection with successive interference cancellation(SIC)in a Vertical Bell Labs layered space-time(V-BLAST)systems,a computationally efficient recursive algorithm was proposed.A fast implementation of the proposed algorithm was developed and its complexity was analyzed in detail.Theoretical analysis and simulations demonstrate significant advantages of the proposed algorithm over the fast recursive algorithm (FRA)on complexity, practicability and storage requirements. Moreover, its performance on symbol error rate(SER)is close to optimal under practical conditions. These advantages make the proposed algorithm more efficient and practical.…”

Statistical modeling based fast rate estimation algorithm for VVC by Wei QI, Haibing YIN, Hongkui WANG, Xiaofeng HUANG, Weihong NIU

    Published 2022-12-01
“…To reduce the coding complexity of the rate-distortion optimization process of the latest video coding standard versatile video coding (VVC), a fast rate estimation model based on statistical modeling was proposed.Firstly, the quantization behavior in dependent quantization (DQ) and the context dependency in entropy coding were fully considered.Features that could describe context state transition in the coding process were proposed to estimate rate of some synatax elements in a TU preliminarily.Secondly, coefficient chaos and sparsity features were proposed to distinguish the influence of coefficient distribution difference on the rate cost based on the coefficient distribution characteristics which built a TU level rate model. Finally, large-size transform unit (TU) and small-size TU was modeling respectively according to the rate composition character to achieve more accurate rate estimation.A large number of parameters were trained by regression model through statistical methods, and the final linear rate model was obtained which was applied to the mode decision.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve 16.289% complexity reduction with 1.567% BD-BR increase for RA configuration.…”

Multi-granularity Android malware fast detection based on opcode by Xuetao ZHANG, Meng SUN, Jinshuang WANG

    Published 2019-12-01
“…The detection method based on opcode is widely used in Android malware detection, but it still contains some problems such as complex feature extraction method and low efficiency. In order to solve these problems,a multi-granularity fast detection method based on opcode for Android malware was proposed.Multi-granularity refers to the feature based on the bag of words model, and with the function as basic unit to extract features.By step-by-level aggregation feature, the APK multi-level information is obtained. The log length characterizes the scale of the function. And feature can be compressed and mapped to improve the efficiency and construct the corresponding classification model based on the semantic similarity of the Dalvik instruction set.Tests show that the proposed method has obvious advantages in performance and efficiency.…”

Fast view synthesis optimization algorithm based on texture smoothness by Huan DOU, Ke-bin JIA, Rui-lin CHEN, Yun-zhi XIAO, Qiang WU

    Published 2016-03-01
“…A fast algorithm was proposed in order to reduce the v ew synthesis optimization (VSO) process in depth cod-ing for 3D-HEVC based on texture map smoothness. With the coding nformation derived from texture video sequences, the pixel regularity of smooth texture region was analyzed to set the skip rule using the properties of intra DC prediction and statistical methods. Then the depth regions corres to the flat texture map regions could be extracted and the VSO process of pixels belonging to this type of depth could be skipped.Experimental results show the effective-ness of the proposed algorithm.…”
