Differential detection scheme for distributed MIMO systems in fast fading channel by Dong-dong DOU, Jun-bo LIU, Da-ming WANG, Zhao-xun LI

    Published 2012-06-01
“…In the fast fading distributed MIMO system,it is difficult to keep the channel fading coefficient unchanged in adjacent space-time blocks due to the rapid changed state information, which leads to the traditional distributed MIMO differential detection scheme is not suitable any.Aiming at this matter,an improved differential detection scheme was proposed.By recombining space-time codes which were differential modulated by phase, this differential detection scheme reduced the influence from fast fading channels at the cost of larger processing delay and additional transmission power.Theoretical analysis and some computer simulation results show that this scheme can improve the BER performance remarkably in fast fading channels compared with the existing the conventional differential space time detection.…”

Statistical modeling based fast rate distortion estimation algorithm for HEVC by Xiang MENG, Haibing YIN, Xiaofeng HUANG

    Published 2021-01-01
“…To reduce the coding computational complexity of the rate and distortion calculations in HEVC, a fast TU level rate model with higher accuracy was proposed. The contribution percentages of different syntax elements in entropy coding were evaluated, and syntax element-wise accurate rate models were individually developed to construct the whole TU level model. In addition, coefficient levels were weighted adaptively to distinguish the nonuniform contributions of different coefficients in terms of rate profiling. Moreover, position-wise parameter was defined to depict the distribution patterns for possible non-zero coefficients within one block. The final linear rate model was developed by fine-tuning the model parameters from great amounts of samples in a statistical way. Finally, the transform domain distortion model was also established to bypass unnecessary reconstruction process.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve 49.76% complexity reduction with 1.74% BD-BR increase for RA configuration.…”

FMCW radar range estimation algorithm based on fast iterative interpolation by Yongchang DUAN, Xin LI, Yaohui HUANG, Ping HUANG

    Published 2019-09-01
“…For the multi-target detection,a multi-objective range estimation algorithm was proposed based on iterative interpolation to solve the problem of the range accuracy of frequency modulation continuous wave (FMCW) radar being easy to be interfered by spectrum.Firstly, the number of targets and the rough location of the target were obtained through the fast Fourier transform (FFT) and the constant false alarm (CFAR) detection algorithm. Then spectrum was iteratively interpolate, and the inter-spectral interference was eliminated during each iteration to obtain more accurate distance.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has higher estimation accuracy in multi-target environment and low Signal-to-noise ratio(SNR).The proposed algorithm is implemented by DSP,which proved that the algorithm meets the real-time requirements and is easy to be implemented in engineering.…”

Fast bidirectionally-decodable arithmetic coding with chaotic redundancy and threshold control by Yi YAN, Guofang TU, Can ZHANG, Shaoshuai GAO, Deyuan CHEN

    Published 2018-02-01
“…Although the JPEG2000 compression standard has high coding efficiency, its error resistance and security can’t meet the requirements of practical application.Based on this,a fast bidirectionally-decodable arithmetic coding method with chaotic redundancy and threshold control was proposed. At the encoder, the chaotic map controlled the probabilities of multiple redundant symbols to enhance the security of arithmetic coding. At the decoder, threshold control and bidirectional decoding were combined to realize fast decoding based on maximum a posteriori estimation.Simulation results show that the proposed method improves the reconstructed image quality with better error resistance and security.…”

Fast loop-free path migration strategy in software defined network by Binghao YAN, Qinrang LIU, Jianliang SHEN, Xiantuo TANG, Dong LIANG

    Published 2022-05-01
“…Aiming at the problems of slow and faulty path migration caused by distributed deployment and asynchronous operation of data plane forwarding devices in software defined network, a fast loop-free path migration strategy was proposed.First, a fast loop detection algorithm based on node ranking was proposed.By comparing the position differences of adjacent nodes on the old and new paths of the flow, whether there was a forwarding loop in the path migration process and the location detection where the loop occurs could be quickly determined. Then, a greedy update mechanism based on node relaxation dependency was proposed. The fast loop detection algorithm was used to uncover the relaxation dependency between the common switches on the old and new paths, and the number of switches updated in each round of the migration process was ensured to be maximized.Simulation results show that the proposed strategy can effectively avoid migration loops and obtain the optimal update time overhead under different network states compared with existing migration schemes.…”
