Evaluation and comparison of reading man flap based on different designs of angles and central axial lengths using finite element method
Published 2025-01-01“…The results shows: (1) The optimal angle and central axis for reducing the stress of the flap tip are 60° for the quadrangular flap, 45° for the triangular flap, with a 2 fold increase in length of the central axial relative to the diameter of the circular defects. (2) The quadrangular flap tip tends to have a greater possibility of complications than does the triangular flap tip. (3) The stress of the triangular flap tip is more sensitive to the angle and central axis length. (4) The stress of the flap tip in elderly people is greater than that in young people with the same design and position, which leads to greater possibility of complications at the flap tip in elderly patients than in young patients.…”

Published 2020-01-01“…A theoretical solution for increasing the critical depth of the auxiliary center cuthole and the criteria for increasing the cuthole diameter of various types of cutholes when the rock attributes, explosive properties, and cuthole dip angle are constant are proposed. (1) If charging length le < 0.75H/sin θ, no auxiliary cuthole is needed. (2) If 0.75H/sin θ < le < 0.75H/sin θ + (2∼4) × 0.1, a central vertical auxiliary hole is needed. (3) If 0.75H/sin θ + (2∼4) × 0.1 < le < 0.75(H/sin θ + Hi/sin θi), a shallow inclined hole is needed.
