Modern tests for the selection of children in performance handball
Published 2024-06-01“…Thus, the aim of this study is to identify a battery of tests that assess the current essential motor components of female handball players and to verify their level of development in a handball team. The tests used to evaluate the motor skills of handball players were the T-reaction test, which assesses complex reaction speed at the upper limb level, the Squat Jump, CMJ, and FJ tests, which assess the explosive strength ofthe lower limbs, the 4 Jumps test, which evaluates agility and execution speed, and a test to evaluate the strength of the palm flexors. The subjects of the research were 21 amateur female handball players aged 10±1 years who practice handball at an amateur level. We identified a series of tests in the specialized literature that we applied to the subjects of this research, and the results obtained showed a good level of development of the motor qualities evaluated among the athletes, as well as differences between the right and left limbs regarding the strength of the palm flexors.…”

A multidimensional momentum chain model for tennis matches based on difference equations.
Published 2024-01-01“…In this paper, taking the 7,284 scoring points in the men's singles tennis match at Wimbledon 2023 as an example, we expand upon traditional momentum research by integrating diverse algorithms, including statistical analysis and linear weighting, to construct a multidimensional momentum chain model predicated on difference equations, which aims to quantify the momentum dynamics for athletes in a match. To enhance the authenticity of our model, we incorporate a forgetting curve to modulate the momentum fluctuations. …”
