A leaky integrate-and-fire model with adaptation for the generation of a spike train by Aniello Buonocore, Luigia Caputo, Enrica Pirozzi, Maria Francesca Carfora

    Published 2015-12-01
“…A model is proposed to describe the spike-frequency adaptation observed in many neuronal systems. We assume that adaptation is mainly due to a calcium-activated potassium current, and we consider two coupled stochastic differential equations for which an analytical approach combined with simulation techniques and numerical methods allow to obtain both qualitative and quantitative results about asymptotic mean firing rate, mean calcium concentration and the firing probability density. …”

Adaptive federated learning secure aggregation scheme based on threshold homomorphic encryption by Zhuo MA, Jiayu JIN, Yilong YANG, Yang LIU, Zuobin YING, Teng LI, Junwei ZHANG

    Published 2023-07-01
“…Aiming at the communication bottleneck problem when the current federated learning security aggregation algorithm was applied in a complex network environment, an adaptive federated learning secure aggregation scheme based on threshold homomorphic encryption was proposed. While protecting gradient privacy, users adaptively compress gradients based on the current available bandwidth, greatly reduced communication overhead for federated users.Furthermore, the new dynamic decryption task distribution algorithm and gradient combination algorithm were designed in the phase of aggregation gradient decryption, which relieved the user’s uplink communication pressure. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme can sharply reduce the amount of communication to 4% compared with the existing federated learning scheme with a trivial model accuracy loss of 1%.…”

Adaptive coverage control for multi-USV system in complex environment with unknown obstacles by Yao Yao, Jun-Hua Cao, Yi Guo, Zhun Fan, Bing Li, Biao Xu, Ke Li

    Published 2021-06-01
“…The coverage goal, which is to cover a given search domain using multiple mobile sensors so that each point is surveyed until a certain preset level is achieved, is formulated in a mathematically precise problem statement. The adaptive control law is presented which enables multi-USV to navigate in a complex environment in the presence of unknown obstacles and guarantees that a fully connected multi-USV system attains the coverage goal. …”

Self-adapted task allocation algorithm with complicated coalition in wireless sensor network by Wen-zhong GUO, Jin-shu SU, Cheng-yu CHEN, Guo-long CHEN

    Published 2014-03-01
“…Considering the real-time requirement and some specific limitations (e.g.insufficient computing resource, energy constraint, etc) in task scheduling of wireless sensor networks, different priorities were assigned to tasks according to their deadline, and an adaptive task allocation algorithm with complicated coalition was designed through analyzing historical information. Moreover,a discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm was designed via employing binary matrix coding form. The proposed optimization algorithm generates coalitions in parallel and then performs subtask allocation algorithm based on load and energy balance. Finally, the experimental results show that the proposed algorithm strikes a good balance between local solution and global exploration, and achieves a satisfactory result within a short period of time.…”
