An Alternating Variable Step-Size Adaptive Long-Range Prediction of LMS Fading Signals
Published 2015-02-01“…Finally, combining variable step-size least mean squares and adaptive long-range prediction, we introduce the VSS-ALRP algorithm to predict LMS channel fading signals in the case of “ good ” state, and the obtained prediction results would be revised based on the linear prediction of error when shadowing condition is in the “ bad ” state. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can not only offer an accurate prediction for long-range channel state and fading signals over the two-state Gilbert-Elliot channel model and greatly enhance the fading signals’ autocorrelation, but also have considerably better performance than long-range prediction (LRP) algorithm from the results of mean square error (MSE) and correlation coefficient.…”

Millimeter-Wave Underlay D2D Communications: Channel Assignment, Transmission mode Selection and Power Control for Full-CSI and Limited-CSI Scenarios
Published 2024-02-01“…We focus on the main features of mmWave communication including larger bandwidth, directive antenna arrays at BS and users, and more severe path loss and shadowing. As the optimization problem is mixed-integer-non-linear programming, two heuristic algorithms are proposed, assuming full Channel Side Information (CSI) and limited CSI at Base Station, respectively. …”

Image-Based Concrete Crack Detection Using Convolutional Neural Network and Exhaustive Search Technique
Published 2019-01-01“…However, conventional image-based methods need extract crack features using complex image preprocessing techniques, so it can lead to challenges when concrete surface contains various types of noise due to extensively varying real-world situations such as thin cracks, rough surface, shadows, etc. To overcome these challenges, this paper proposes an image-based crack detection method using a deep convolutional neural network (CNN). …”
