Vibe++ background segmentation method combining MeanShift clustering analysis and convolutional neural network by Zihao LIU, Xiaojun JIA, Sulan ZHANG, Zhiling XU, Jun ZHANG

    Published 2021-03-01
“…To solve problems of noise points and high segmentation error for image shadow brought by traditional Vibe+ algorithm, a novel background segmentation method (Vibe++) based on the improved Vibe+ was proposed.Firstly, binarization image was acquired by using traditional Vibe+ algorithm from surveillance video. The connected regions were marked based on the region-growing domain marker method. The area threshold was obtained with difference characteristics of boundary area, the connected regions below threshold were treated as disturbing points.Secondly, five different kernel functions were introduced to improve the traditional MeanShift clustering algorithm. After improving, this algorithm was fused effectively with partitioned convolutional neural network. Finally, program of classification of trailing area, non-trailing area and trailing edge area in the resulting image was performed.Position coordinates of the trailing area were calculated and confirmed, and the trailing area was quickly deleted to obtain the final segmentation result. This segmentation accuracy was greatly improved by using the proposed method. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve segmentation accuracy of more than 98% and has good application effect and high practical value.…”

Estimation of wireless channel fading model in maritime communication for complex meteorological environment by Yasheng DAI, Bolin MA, Guangxue YUE

    Published 2022-03-01
“…Due to the influence of complex marine environmental factors such as sparse scattering of electromagnetic wave on the ocean surface, wave shadow fading, complex meteorological environment. It is extremely hard to model the fading of wireless channel in maritime communication environment. After analyzing the influence of meteorological environment and multipath channel fading via direct-path, specular-path and diffuse-path on marine wireless communication channel fading, the estimation of wireless channel fading model in maritime communication for complex meteorological environment (EWCFM-CME) was proposed. An improved bee colony algorithm was designed to estimation the parameter of EWCFM-CME.In order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of search algorithm, an iterative function with sin(·) function as operator was designed in search scheme of bee colonies. The leading bee received the detection bee solution to update itself with probability P.It prevents the solution algorithm from falling into local optimization. The simulation results show that, compared with fluctuate two-ray (FTR) fading model and round earth loss (REL) model, the mean absolute error (MAE) of EWCFM-CME increased by 13.58% and 11.43% By comparing EWCFM-CME with cuckoo search, genetic algorithm and simulated annealing algorithm, the search time is reduced by 60.48%, 45.18% and 43.23%, respectively.…”

Measurement and modeling of wireless body area network propagation characteristics of indoor environment at 10 GHz by Qin YANG, Lihua YANG, Lulu REN, Shanhu HUANG, Jiahuan LIU

    Published 2022-03-01
“…To explore the feasibility of high-frequency in indoor wireless body area network (WBAN) communication, the propagation characteristics of 10 GHz for WBAN in indoor scenario was given.Based on a large number of measurement data, the path loss, the shadow effect and the root-based delay spread of the 10 GHz were present, and a novel path loss model with the body angle was proposed, which utilizes the body angular factor to correct the path loss caused by the change of body angle.Meanwhile, the influence of receiving antenna at different heights of body on path loss was analyzed.Research results show that the path loss exponent has a quadratic function relationship with the body angle, the relationship between the path loss (PBA) caused by the body angle and the body angle can be expressed by a trigonometric function with a coefficient, which has a monotonously decreasing exponential function relationship with the distance between the receiving and sending ends.In addition, when the body is at different angles, the effect of the receiving ends in the human body on the path loss is smaller than when there is no body rotation angle. The above research results can provide the theoretical and practical basis for the use of 10 GHz indoor wireless body area network in the future.…”
