Fractional Metric Dimension of Generalized Sunlet Networks by Muhammad Javaid, Hassan Zafar, Ebenezer Bonyah

    Published 2021-01-01
“…A real-valued function Φ from VN to 0,1 is called a local resolving function (LRF) if the sum of all the labels of the elements of each LRN set remains greater or equal to 1. Thus, the local fractional metric dimension (LFMD) of a connected network N is dimlfN=minΦ:Φ is minimal LRF of N. …”

Asteroids: Assessing Catastrophic Risks by Graciela Chichilnisky, Peter Eisenberger

    Published 2010-01-01
“…We establish why expected value is insensitive to catastrophic risks see the study by Chichilnisky (1996), and use another criterion to evaluate risk based on axioms for choice under uncertainty that update the classic Von Neumann theory and require equal treatment for rare and frequent events. Optimizing according to the new criterion is shown to be equivalent to optimizing expected utility with a restriction on the worst outcome in the case of a catastrophe. …”

Collision analysis of the GMR-2 cipher used in the satellite phone by Ruilin LI, Jiao HU, Chaojing TANG

    Published 2018-02-01
“…A collision property analysis of the GMR-2 cipher used in the satellite phone was presented.By using the F-component as a bridge, the link between the difference of the key byte and the collision of the output ofFas well as the link between the collision of the output of F and the collision of keystream byte were analyzed, which finally revealed the relationship between the difference of the original key byte and the keystream collision. The theoretical analysis showed that for a random frame number,a special chosen key pair could lead to a keystream collision with a high probability, when the key pair has only one byte difference in which the most significant 4 bit of the difference was equal to the last significant 4 bit.The experimental result shows that the keystream collision probability is 2−8.248,which is far higher than the ideal collision probability 2−120.This proves once again, that there exists serious potential security hazards in the GMR-2 cipher.…”

    Published 2016-01-01
“…Simula-tions demonstrate that when the characteristic exponent of the stable distribution is in a medium degree, for example a=1.4, the proposed method is much more robust than the traditional method in low SNR circumstances, while main-taining the estimation accuracy of the traditional method when SNR is high. When SNR equals 10 dB, the positioning accuracy of the proposed method is much higher than the traditional method with a<1.9 .…”
