Dynamics of Mean-Variance-Skewness of Cumulative Crop Yield Impact Temporal Yield Variance by Abdullah A. Jaradat

    Published 2011-01-01
“…Statistical moments, cumulative yield (CY), temporal yield variance (TYV) and coefficient of variation (CV) were used to assess the risk associated with adopting combinations of new management practices in CNV and ORG. …”

Spatial and Temporal Characteristics of Meteorological Drought in Shandong Province, China, from 1961 to 2008 by Xiaoli Wang, Xiyong Hou, Zhi Li, Yuandong Wang

    Published 2014-01-01
“…Furthermore, the slight drought mainly appeared in the northwest and southwest while the other grades of drought exhibited much significant spatial and temporal variability. Besides, drought in spring was more serious than that in winter. …”

Grid-Based Anomaly Detection of Freight Vehicle Trajectory considering Local Temporal Window by Zixian Zhang, Geqi Qi, Avishai (Avi) Ceder, Wei Guan, Rongge Guo, Zhenlin Wei

    Published 2021-01-01
“…However, the existing researches mainly focus on the spatial anomaly detection, and there are few researches on the real-time temporal anomaly detection. In this paper, a grid-based algorithm, which combines the spatial and temporal anomaly detection, is proposed for tracing the risk of urban freight vehicles trajectory by considering local temporal window. …”

Analysis of Temporal and Spatial Variation of Tidal Wave Characteristics in Macao under the Influence of Reclamation by WANG Renchao, ZHANG Gongjin

    Published 2023-01-01
“…With the historical tidal level data, this paper analyzes the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of tidal constituents and the influence of reclamation intensity on tidal level variation in the Macao sea area over the years. The results indicate that the waters near the Macao station show irregular semidiurnal tides, and the tidal wave deformation is significant over the years and fluctuates in different periods. The value of HS2/HM2 at the Macao station fluctuates around 0.4 over the years, which reflects that the diurnal variation of tide height at the Macao station is significantly influenced by time. The empirical orthogonal function (EOF) method is used to discuss the long-series tidal level change at the Macao station. The variance contribution rate of the first characteristic vector is 79%,and it is a typical combination of tidal constituent amplitudes.According to the correlation analysis between the first characteristic vector and the reclamation strength of the Macao sea area, the correlation coefficient is 84%,which manifests that the reclamation project of Macao is the main influencing factor leading to the tidal wave deformation of the Macao sea area.…”

Temporal backscatter characterisation of ratoon rice crops based on Sentinel-1 intensity data by Vidya Nahdhiyatul Fikriyah, Roshanak Darvishzadeh, Alice Laborte, Jitender Rathore, Andrew Nelson

    Published 2025-12-01
“…Although current remote sensing-based rice monitoring systems have considered rice ratooning systems, nothing is known about the temporal backscatter response of ratoon rice, which is necessary for accurate rice ratooning detection in cloud-pervasive regions. …”
